Back in Black

I'm a huge fan of black on black and comfort which is why I love this outfit so much. 

I paired an oversized black cotton tee with black leggings and added my uggs, a scarf and th newest edition to my wardrobe: my denim jacket.

Today was pretty insane for me. I've been running around since 9 this morning getting some errands done, spending time at my internship decorating for our Breakfast with Santa event tomorrow and then heading over to work at 5.  I needed something comfortable that I can trim some trees in (10 to be exact) but also looks nice enough to wear to a casual day at work.  

I love black on black but I think it's nice to spice it up with some neutral colors or an awesome jacket.

About 2 weeks ago I was browsing through my pinterest when I saw this outfit. I thought it looked pretty cute and I pinned it for future reference.  Later that day I was browsing through the Forever 21 site when I saw the same sweater as before. I instantly bought it and picked up a denim jacket and some earrings while I was on there.

My package arrived this afternoon right before I left for class. After I saw it on the porch on my way out of the house I grabbed the box and ran up the stairs to try on my new clothes and then bolted to class.

I've been wanting a denim jacket for a while now that it seems like they're making a comeback but I could never justify spending over $30 on one given my limited budget and the fact that in a few weeks I'll practically be living in my huge winter coat since it will be to cold to wear much else.

The sweater was thicker than I had originally thought it was which is nice since it will keep me a little warmer. I opted for a medium in the jacket, but I almost wish I had gone a size larger for when I wear thicker shirts, but overall it's not to tight.

I love this look, but mostly I love the fact that I was able to recreate an outfit I saw on Pinterest for once, instead of just oggling over the clothes that a poor college student like myself can't afford.

I have totally fallen in LOVE with red skinnies! I seriously searched high and low for these babies during my Black Friday outing and finally found them at Charlotte Russe.  

I had wanted to get a pair of red cords, but I couldn't find my size anywhere so I'm hoping I'll have better luck when I hit the mall after Christmas.

I paired my red skinnies with the sweater that I wore on my date night, brown boots, a vest and a statement necklace.

I love this type of look for fall/winter. It comes off as slightly festive, yet put together and wearable for everyday.

I decided to break out my most recent purchases thanks to some awesome Black Friday sales for a date night.  It's been pretty chilly here in Wyoming lately so I opted to go with my new cream sweater with leather shoulder patches, black pants, black boots and some awesome accessories.

Drugstore Foundation Review

I love the drugstore and drugstore makeup.  College students generally don't have a ton of money to spend on luxuries other than food and alcohol and I am definitely no exception.  I would love to go out and buy a high end foundation, but I have to make a choice every month between spending $40 on a new Laura Mercier Foundation or eating, and I almost always chose eating.

I definitely don't have a favorite foundation and I generally change it up every couple of months. Since the summer I've tried the Revlon Photo Ready, Maybelline FitMe, Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse and L'Oreal True Match Lumi Foundations. Some work for me and some I definitely will not use again.

I try to keep my foundation routine pretty simple.  I use a lot of the same products that I use in my "no makeup, makeup" look but this routine gives my face a little more coverage and definition.
